About Us
AgriSmart Zambia is a fully registered NGO (non-government organisation) headquartered in Lusaka, Zambia and was established in 2015 by a think tank consisting of members from various institutions such as Rutgers University, USA; Purdue University, USA; University of California, Davis, USA; United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Agribusiness in Sustainable Natural African Plant Products and other local organizations.
Although AgriSmart Zambia was established in 2015, in many cases it took over the projects previously managed by Agribusiness in Sustainable Natural African Plant Products. AgriSmart Zambia continues to build on the successful USAID-Zambia funded Global Development Alliance Project (GDA) known as CASH (Commercial Agriculture for Sustainable Horticulture) Project in the eastern and central Zambia and upon prior USAID funded HortCRSP projects in southern and central Zambia and upon OXFAM funded program in southern Zambia.
